HHD has extensive knowledge and expertise in manufacturing prototype as well as production tools to suite customer’s project spec. Tool materials vary from aluminum to pre-hardened steel depending on component complexity and expected tool life. the Prototype tooling system consists of a master unit die (MUD) frame and block with features such as sprue and runner systems, leader pins, water
lines and ejector returns incorporated into the system. We charge for only the mold cavity and core details. we can make dedicated Prototype tools to fit into MUD units or inserts to be put into our Prototype tooling system. We offer significant advantages in tool manufacturing lead-time and cost Turnaround time can be as short as 7 to 14 days. Cosmetic surface
